Jones must beat Green to fight Hopkins
American boxing superstar Roy Jones admits he faces a lot more pressure when fighting Australian Danny Green after agreeing to a 2010 rematch with old adversary Bernard Hopkins.
Jones arrived in Sydney on Tuesday to promote his highly anticipated fight with IBO cruiserweight world champion Green in Sydney on December 2.
He kicked off the pre-match sparring by donning a Melbourne Storm NRL jersey as he emerged from customs - an outfit choice which Parramatta Eels fan Danny Green may not appreciate.
When told the jersey may offend some Sydney fans Jones wasn't worried.
Green and Jones will be presented to the ANZ Stadium crowd at halftime of Sunday's NRL grand final between Parramatta and Melbourne.
When quizzed about facing 80,000 league fans on Sunday, Jones said: "I'm loving it, I'm loving it."
Meanwhile, his possible clash with former middleweight and light heavyweight world champion Hopkins, who he beat 16 years ago, was settled last week but is dependent on him defeating Green.
A four division world champion, 40-year-old Jones is bidding to become the first man ever to hold a world title in every division from middleweight up.
He will embark on a national press tour starting in Sydney on Wednesday with other stops in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.
