A new addition to the kennel who has traveled over from Tassie.
She seems that being young that she has a bit of improvment up her yet.
She is a well sized girl who seems sturdy and yet speedy.

She has settled in well and should hit the training tack tommorrow afternoon.

So far her work on the track has being nothing but good as she goes about what she does.
She will continue to take some of that extra weight of her on her way to a trial at either Mandurah OR Cannington.
This should happen with in the next 14 days at least.

PROMISING young greyhound Howard's Puzzle will be attempting to keep her unbeaten record intact when she takes on the tricky Launceston circuit for the first time at The TOTE Racing Centre tonight.

Howard's Puzzle has won at her only two starts and while she faces a daunting task from the squeeze box (5) tonight she remains the one to beat.

She has shown an abundance of early speed at her only two outings at Devonport and Hobart where she drew boxes two and seven respectively.

The Len Howard-trained bitch is by Puzzle Prize from Stage Heroine and according to her trainer she has shown above average ability from day one.

She was whelped in December 2007 and has been given plenty of time to develop.

Her main dangers appear to be Winklee Wonder (2) that has two wins and seven minor placings from 11 starts with her latest win over Kialdu Anna in Hobart two starts back.

From Tas Racing

Zoe will go around in a 405m trial on Sat before heading for another before her first race .
From then on we will step up in distances

Looks like Zoe will be enterd for her first start in W.A next Thursday night.
Nominations will come out tommorrow after noon.

I had another look at the race book information today, it states that Zoe is racing as a Grade 4 dog. She hasn't won a grade 5 yet! Does that mean the handicapper has over-rated her based on her winning record to date? I would have thought in a mixed 4/5 race at this stage she'd be racing as a Grade 5 chaser.

2 of her 3 wins in Tas were classed as grade 5 country.
U are still eligable for both grade 5 prov class.

If any thing we come off better again this week with a grade 4/5 which means she effectavly drops back a grade and grade 5 dogs in the race rise a grade.

So far she seems that everthing is still ok heading towards her first race start.

Box 8 is as far away from an inside box as you can get! Decent field too. She has won from box 7. The 7 dog in this field seems quick so maybe she can track that dog into the race. I'd like to think she'd never run 23.73 or worse over the 405 again...anyway she'll be fitter for the run, looking forward to hearing how she goes on Monday.

Rating 100. Tasmanian who won 3 of 6 in that state. She resumed here a fortnight ago but after a moderate jump she finished 7th behind Sicilian Wave. Boxed to get room early, watch for betting moves.

My money is hardly going to make a dent on the tote board! Not sure where they are expecting the betting move to come from!

Could be good value...they probably thought we gave her some bad food or something to make her run poorly first up so we could back her second up!

If she runs a second faster the stewards will be giving you a long phone call! haha

I'll be happy if she places and runs somewhere around 23.25 - 23.35 from the 8 box.

Now this poor girl is tapping on the till.
In every start in wa until she has found bother she has continued to go foward always.
Her sections of 6.73 and the leaders in last week of 6.68 is simply quick.
She didnt ping last week which made it look a tad slower before finding scrimage into the first turn before rebalancing and hitting the rail near the home turn which in context simply took care of her nights race from that stage on.

She simply needs to be near the rails and out in front high balling along.
When she does this then you will see a different girl.

So until then just have faith in your girl as she is a winnerrrrrrrrrr
