Well Done again guys!
Hows life as a owner going bud. Hes a pretty smart boy your guy and i think that he should continue to run honestly against most fields and classes.
From here on in we are wishing to get some more luck and may be make it into a heat of the Winter Cup
Enjoying it mate, will be good to get up there and watch in person soon.
How does the winter cup work? I take it we need to win heats?
First off a top 3 finish this week is what we need A unplaced run would make it hard for the heats the week after
A win would step us up into 3rd grade and just about give us a automatic start in the heats
If you make a heat then you will need to run top 2 to make the final and the 2 fastest 3rds will make up the reserves.
Nominations for the SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP close this month and i will be nominating Garrett as im sure he may be eligable..

Fucking glad we dont race horses with you other wise i feel we may be getting barrier 16 of late.
He is 1 dog that with any luck deserves his spot and lets hope that he can run a solid foward race and a tad luck goes his way.
His still a day by day prop della but has recovered well from the misshap in the pen. Bruising seems the issue

*Im sorry for my non return the other night but as you will see in the stewards report i was hard at work with our lad in the vets room.
At the end of the day we have pulled up with a sore front shoulder as welll as a sore back muscle along with some tenderness to the ribs region.
For the best sake of the dog i have not entered at all and have all ready started to address the problems and they will be worked on 2 times a day at a min.
As always there seems to be a bummer around every corner and our main goal from here on in is to have him set fpor the nationals in a few weeks time.
Im sure its the best for the dog to follow a lighter programe while waiting his return. We rush him at all and we could find our selfs in bother futher down the track.
Other wise hes a 100% chance of hitting the track again... its just if we will get there on time for the nationals which i rate around a 80-90% chance

sEEMS LIKE the work done on the boy is working a treat and there fore have decided to go easy on him on the lead up to trying to quali. The easiest way is to hit them next wed in a 4th grade provin at Canno. If this works then he will get another 10 day turn around and nomed for the heats. If we are to fail then on wed then we will be still nomed as a 4th grade city which out does the 5th grade city as he did in the winters.
The other way could be dangerous as we would have to hit 1st up next Sat and could get out graded in a 3/4 and if we were to run 5th or worse than we would struggle for sure.
Im just trying to do the best with the cards we have guys and he is balancing up well.
Noms will be out this arvo

Glad to say that we are still getingt solid progress on his soreness or what is let of it which is quiet minor. Hes starting to jump out of his skin again which is also a great sign and his last gallop was full of promise .
He followed his normal routine this week in which i would give him a 90% for his effort as he was limited to a small change in routine. Weight wise he was also spot on with a little self adjusment to be 29.8 today So far he still gets worked on every day and will be given a walk on the beach this Mon

What a long ,long week it has been. I feel happy that we have did all we can in the lead up to tonights race and am wishing that Garrett can just get a chance to do his best.
With this being his final race in the lead up to next weeks Nationals Heats to be run at Cannington im dead set wishing for a bit of luck as i feel if he can win tonight then we should be a mighty chance of getting into the heats.
As owners know we had to change our plans but feel that we habve reajusted the floating boat the best we can and lets just hope theres no signs of leaks in the run home.
You win tonight guys... then you may just make the heats of the doggies equal to the melbourne cup

Has being worked on every day and was let out for a gallop today in which he took of like a lepard. Was more than shocked at the way he finished the gallop off and had to grab hold of him before sending him back to the block.
Other words no signs of sorness today and may be he over strained him self naturally last week.
I will be taking him to a place this week to get another checkover on wed morning after a short hand slip.
He will in hand tell me a lot body wise over the next 24-48 hours.

This boy has taken the time off with the work done on him in his stride . His easy gallop said he is ready for the return and the trial next monda should indicate that. With all going well he will return on the Sat night to go over the 530m before stepping up to his 1st crack at the 600M+

Went to the checkers this morning and with out a doubt we have gained progress. He doesnt seem sore under the brisket any more and i would expect to start seeing real improvment on the track again.
He will go down next Monday and trial with a david hobby dog before attacking the 4th grade on the same Sat night @ Cannington.

Had a gallop today in which he passed with flying colours indeed. Its seems that any soreness in the rib region has gone and we are clear to punch ahead with him once again.
From here on in he will have have a 1 -2 lap run to just extend again on friday before heading to cannington for a trial on the monday. He passes that and he will be nominated for that sat night.

After a sizzling trial with 3 legs against Stove Rocks he pullled up with a crack in the hock and a bit of ligament damage.
As you are aware i have being putting in a lot of extra time of my own on this boy in order to help the recovery on him.
We are still months away from a full recovery to the pint of what we can help but do feel that he is getting around better day by day. so far im 100% happy with any progress we have made.

The boy is making a good recovery and next week will be the big test for him self. Its at that stage that we will be able to make a call on his return to the track.
So far he has done bettter than expected and is moving about with free motion but i can see in his eyes that he him self is still wearry about putting pressure on his leg.
Touch wood and lets hope for futher improvement.

extra extra,
Reports say yesterday he (DYNA SAXON) was spotted at a loewer beach in Mandurah in which they both went over the mile on the soft sandy run.
Curious eyes say that Dyna Saxon was in solid stride while working non stop for the length of the run only to pull up and head into the water for a wade and some what of a recovery session.
Will have to wytach this space with close eyes as its getting crunch time guys.

Heads to the beach today for some wild child time. We will get a chance to see if the leg is going to hold up as its time.
By this after noon we will have a way better idea of just how we stand.
Fingers crossed boys and lets hope our mate garrett comes threw OK.
