(405M): WALLSTREET ANGEL began quickly. BENT LEE, OXLEY RIVERS & DANA GEORGE collided shortly after the start. CARLSON BALE & ETHANOL BOY collided on the
first turn. ETHANOL BOY & OXLEY RIVERS collided approaching the home turn, ETHANOL BOY hit the inside running rail and lost ground. AWESOME FAREWELL checked off
the heels of BENT LEE on the home turn. AWESOME FAREWELL shifted out and raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. ETHANOL BOY faded in the home straight
due to injury.
A post race veterinary examination revealed ETHANOL BOY has a hairline fracture right fore metacarpal and has been stood down for 21 days.

With the injury at hand the choice was made to retire Fredski (from the redski)

I was fortunate to have more than my fair share of wins with the boy along with many memorable days together.
He was a flash of fun to have around the kennel as fred went about his daily routine with his fav past time of lying in the sunny

At the end of the day fred was a real pleasure to have in our care and i know he was happy with us 2.You cant replace gutsy dogs ETHANOL BOY - Page 9 839367

A great dog that, even though he raced mainly in the west, did spend some time in SA and I had some real hands on time with.

I would like to thank Paul and Shannon for taking him on when they did, and then for working through the drama's we had with his tail right from the outset.

Also, Fred is now looking for a home to enjoy his retirement. Paul has told me he would make a great pet - and if I didn't already have a greyhound living with us he'd come home. If any Box 1 members would like to take Fred home, or know anyway that may be interested, please get in touch with Paul or myself.
